چکیده
Our general objectives are concerned with the study of atomic and molecular processes and with the transport of charged particles in weakly ionized collision-dominated plasmas. During the past year our efforts in this field have been on a rather modest scale. The research that we have conducted was concerned with the effects of pipe turbulence on the electrical conductivity and on the diffusion processes in an Argon plasma. This work has come to a successful conclusion and we plan to terminate it soon. In the future we plan to devote our efforts to those problems in gaseous electronics that are relevant to the physics of gas lasers. In particular, we intend to look into problems of striations, sound propagation, and mode locking.
